March 3 BUZZ

Beach Themed Buddy Art - KA and 2-2/3-1

Happy Monday!

Thank you to our amazing School Council for their hard work and dedication to our school community. The dance on Friday was amazing and fun was had by all! Thank you to all our families who came and showed off their groovy dance moves!

With the warmer weather comes melting, and lots of it! If you are able to tuck away an extra pair of socks in your child's backpack, you never know when they would come in handy! (or footy!)

This Wednesday is early dismissal and Friday is a PL Day for staff, so there is no school for students.

It's a great week for a great week!

Regulation Strategy - Crossing Movements

Here at Glen Allan we are aimed at enhancing capacity to nurture emotional resilience and well-being among students. We are actively involved in collaborating with our staff to introduce effective regulation strategies and deepen understandings of brain development. We continue to work on integrating these strategies into everyday classroom practices. This weeks strategy is Crossing Movements.

Make a fist with the thumb inside and straighten the arms out to a 60-degree angle. Inhale with straight arms and cross in front of our forehead on the exhale. Inhale with straight arms at a 60- degree angle and cross behind our head. Try doing this for a minute.  Continue with this powerful breath as this focused attention strategy increases improved blood flow to the brain.
